I
was discussing Isaiah 58 today with Bob Mudd (HopeChest COO and fellow
iFaster). We were talking about how fasting produces HUNGER and that
is part of it's purpose. . .but that hunger isn't just to remind us to
pray for the hungry (though it sure does that!) but to turn us to
Jesus. I want to be HUNGRY for HIM. Let us tomorrow, as we hunger in
the physical sense, HUNGER and THIRST after righteousness, for then we
shall be FILLED! (Matt 5:6). I'm reminded of the song "Come to My
Rescue' which sings "I called -- you answered--and you came to my
rescue--and I want to be where you are". He fills us when we call. I
pray that tomorrow you will be hungry FOR Him and filled up BY Him and
that it will turn your heart to pray for and act out your faith for
those who need rescue so deeply today. Our prayer for each of these
organizations is that the LORD will come to a hurting people's rescue
through our feeble efforts. . that people will be FED and will want to
be where HE is.

I
didn't receive any prayer request emails tonight, so I only have
requests from HopeChest and Global Orphan Outreach. . .I'm going to
make up ones for RLC and HopeMongers! Just use scripture and the
Spirit to direct you to pray for the other organizations, their
leadership, their mission and the people they have the opportunity to
impact.

HopeChest~

Swaziland--Please
pray for the field team. We have people stepping up to sponsor but
there is a lot of work to be done on the ground. Pray also for our new
advocate team that has stepped up to see 230 kids sponsored in Swazi.
Pray that people will approach THEM this week with a desire to be a
part of this. Pray also that their hearts will be encouraged as they
step out and speak up on behalf of these kids. Praise for one of key
volunteers, Deb Gangemi who had a great week in business as well!

Ethiopia-
Please pray for Ginia's trip (Program Services Director) as she is
leaving for Ethiopia on Saturday and will be spending time on the
ground setting up systems that will help ministry flow more smoothly!

Russia--
Pray for the gov't issues that are arising where they are restricting
the faith. Continue to lift up those graduating from the orphanages
and their future

Uganda--pray for the
team that is getting ready to leave in just under 3 weeks. For
continued preparation of their hearts. Pray also for Joseph (country
director) as he prepares sites and readies them for sponsorship. There
is a lot on his plate. Pray also for his new staff member, David.

India -
some folks who minister in India where in CO to meet with the HopeChest
staff this week. Pray for their ministry. Pray for the children who
live in the slums of India for God's provision and protection.

Pray
for HopeChest Leadership as they explore ministry opportunities and
partnerships with other organizations. Pray for clear direction on what
countries to expand into, with whom and when. Pray also for the
meetings coming up this weekend in Ohio. There is a fundraiser (pray
for God to use it to provide and for those that will hear the story to
be touched) as well as meetings with various churches. Pray for God to
speak loud and clear through those that are sharing.

Global Orphan Outreach -- continued prayer for our programs in Liberia. Much progress was made while we
were there. Please continue to pray for provision for these programs

Red Letters Campaign--
pray for direction as figure out how to best partner with other
organizations and help support the vision. Pray also for the upcoming
launch and how to best motivate others to get out into their
communities and their world to act like Jesus

HopeMongers
- praise for what sounds like AMAZING meetings last week for Sam! Pray
for continued direction and discernment as well as the many details
that come into play this close to launching ministry

Pray for:

Remember the Poor, Orphan Relief and Rescue, Abba Fund, Doma, Louisville Orphan Care Initiative, Amazima, I'm sure I'm missing someone! sorry!

Many of you have told me that there are others, either individuals or organizations, that are participating with us. If you'd
send me their email addresses, I'd love to email them directly as well as include their requests if they have some for us!

Thanks again for joining us in this. . .I appreciate each one of you and LOVE praying and fasting with you on Wednesdays!

Thanks!

Brandi
www.BrandisThoughts.com
